Dortmund University of Applied Sciences & Arts
The Department of Business Studies of the Fachhochschule Dortmund (also known FH-D or DUASA) was founded in 1971. The campus facilities include libraries, restaurants, computer labs, cafeterias, banks, student housing, bookstores, and more. Students attending FH-D have access to all the above facilities as well as to student organizations and sports groups. Unlike many European city universities, FH-D has an actual campus with spacious green among its buildings. An overhead monorail system provides convenient transportation to the heart of campus, and Dortmund lies only 2 hours away from historic & elegant Cologne.

Like almost no other German city, Dortmund has seen enormous change in recent years. The former "steel city" developed into a modern and cosmopolitan metropolis, acquiring renown all across Europe as an innovative location for technological development. Located in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dortmund city is small enough to feel safe and secure, and large enough to provide a variety of entertainment for students: from the Borussia Dortmund football club to the vibrant and musical entertainment zones with programs sure to captivate all senses. Dortmund city is also known as the "Green Metropolis" of the state. Nearly half of the city is covered with waterways and green parks.
