| Founded in 1964, Beijing International Studies University
(BISU) offers you an amazing opportunity to gain valuable
language skills by enrolling in an Intensive Chinese Language Program or taking undergraduate
or graduate business courses taught in Chinese. Located in the suburbs of Beijing, Tian’anmen
Square and The Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing
are easily accessible from campus. BISU is a 10 minute
walk from the subway which takes you to the city center
in 15 minutes. Or, a 1 minute walk to the bus gets you
a 25 minute ride to the city center. Campus has all
of the essentials for students, including a supermarket
and a variety of cafeterias. Also, a main street filled
with shops and restaurants is just outside the campus
gate. You can enjoy the free campus sports facilities
including tennis courts, basketball courts, a soccer
field and a climbing wall. Beijing International Studies
University provides a wonderful opportunity for you
to study in China and make new, lifelong friends while
abroad. |

of China, is the nation’s political and cultural
center. The city has a wide variety of attractions that
could keep anyone busy for weeks. The famous Great Wall
is only an ahour from campus by bus or car. Jinshan
Park, Bei Hai Park, Temple of Heaven, Tibetan Lama Temple
and Summer Palace are just a few more places to visit
during your semester in Beijing. You could also take
an inexpensive in-country flight to visit China’s
business cities, such as Shanghai or Hong Kong. |

Accommodation |

BISU offers housing in a number of student residence halls. Accommodation for the year cost approximately $1,000 - $2,000. Housing fees for summer and winter holidays are extra. Accommodation for a single semester costs approximately $6 - $8 per day. |

obtain the necessary visa for study abroad prior to
departure. Most semester programs are more than 90 days.
