Diagnosis and Management of Psychiatric Conditions 2: Acute and Chronic Management of Adult Persons
Prerequisite: NGR 7871, NGR 6673, MHS 6070, and NGR 6510C
Co-requisite: NGR 7850 and NGR 7843
Description: This is a combined theory and clinical course focused on current research and evidence in psychiatric/mental health advanced practice. It is an depth review of adult psychiatric disorders. Discussion of DSM-V, diagnosis of adult psychiatric disorders, and evidence-based treatments is included. This course requires 90 hours of clinical practicum with a licensed mental health professional. The course has 2 credit hours for class and 1 credit hour for clinical.
