Outstanding Osprey Volunteer - Spring 2014

Each semester a student is awarded is for their dedication to making a difference in their community.

The Spring 2014 Outstanding Osprey Volunteer has been awarded to Christopher Kyburz.  Chris is a junior studying logistics and a  transfer student from UCF who arrived to campus ready to get involved and help out in the community.  Chris has volunteered with the Environmental Center on-campus, assisted for the entire duration of the Volunteer Fair helping the employers bring in equipment, and sign students in and help with over-all assistance, has attended the group volunteers with Volunteer Services at the Humane Society and moved a step forward and became a certified dog walker and now goes regularly on his own.  Chris volunteered for 8 hours assisting the UNF Relay for Life team with setting up for the huge event, he will be volunteering at the mega adoption event next week and will be volunteering all summer as a sort of internship for the Red Cross.  He is enthusiastic and always wants to help in any way possible.
