The Five Star Veterans Center of Jacksonville
Seeking a volunteer to help keep the website and Facebook page updated. For the first 2-4 weeks the volunteer would come to the Center (orientation, meet staff) and begin updating. Thereafter, most work could probably be done remotely with a monthly visit to the Center to update staff.

Donate blood plasma, save lives, and get paid up to $100 per week! The Humarus LLC is an FDA accredited plasma donation center located opposite the Alhambra theater on Beach Blvd.
Requirements: Valid ID (student ID counts), proof of address, and social security card. Must weigh at least 110lb (50 kg). Call 904-642-1005 for new donor appointments.
UNF English Language Program (ELP)
We are looking for English-speaking volunteers to come and join us in our Power Hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30. In our Power Hour, the students will play games and converse in English. These activities are a good way to improve speaking fluency in a relaxing way. The students like to have native English speakers come and volunteer during this time. It is a great way to practice English with native speakers, learn about American culture, and make new friends. Call the ELP office at 904-620-4281 to set up a schedule.
YMCA Reads - Help change the life of a child!
The Y READS! Program seeks to close the gap in students’ reading performance and the State of Florida’s reading performance expectations. It’s is an excellent volunteer opportunity because it allows the volunteer to have a positive involvement in a child’s life, have a practical and enriching experience working with at risk children, and will provide the volunteer with an educator experience in a diverse and high need community.
The Bridge of Northeast Florida - Help kids become academic all-stars!

Ponte Vedra Women's Civic Alliance
Hosting a themed Gala on Saturday, February 21st
to raise money for the St. John's County General Educational Fund and are in
need of at least 6 volunteers that are over 21 years of age to help us by
manning booths in a "marketplace" during the first two hours of the
event. It would be a great opportunity for young people to meet leaders in the
Jacksonville Area as well as help to raise money to support kids and education
in St. John's County. The volunteers would need to arrive by 6:30 no later than
6:45, parking in the beach parking lot for Mickler's Beach Access and walking
or riding in a provided golf cart to a private residence a couple blocks away
on Ponte Vedra Boulevard.
