Master of Health Administration


The program of study is designed for those individuals who want to work in the field of management and administration within
a health care delivery setting. The 54 hour (minimum) program consists of 9 hours of business/administrative core courses,
42 hours of Brooks College of Health core courses and 3 hours of elective courses. The business/administrative area courses include work in finance, human resources, organization theory, and marketing.

Admission to the Program

Students entering this program without an undergraduate degree in Health administration or Business Administration must complete a basic statistics course and the following minimum prerequisite course work:

ACG 2021   Financial Acccounting  or  ACG 5005 Introduction to Accounting 


Each applicant must submit:
 

1. a resume (indicating education and work background; honors; memberships in professional, school, and service     organizations; etc.)

2. a personal statement (a brief essay outlining your reasons for wanting to pursue graduate education in health     administration, career objectives, and any other information you would want the Admission Committee to know     about you)

3. two letters of recommendation
    Recommendation for Graduate Study form (Word) or (pdf )

4. transcripts of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in this country or a     recognized university abroad. Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average in all undergraduate     upper division work

5. verification of a GRE or GMAT score taken within the last two years  

 

GRE / GMAT scores are not required for applicants holding a professional doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., J.D., D.D.S) from a U.S. accredited school. Applicants are judged primarily by a critical evaluation of their demonstrated academic ability and potential. Consideration is given to health care experience, motivation, and leadership potential.
