So You Want To Be a Nurse/Want Your BSN?
The School of Nursing at the UNF Brooks College of Health invites you to attend an informational seminar developed to answer your questions regarding the various tracks of the Nursing program. Each information session is intended for a specific audience, as listed below:
Regular & Accelerated Prelicensure
RN-BSN Bridge
Regular & Accelerated Prelicensure (offered through the Academic Center for Excellence for UNF students)
The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) will host the School of Nursing’s presentation of “So You Want to be a Nurse” as a workshop on selected dates this fall semester. Each session can accommodate approximately 15 attendees. This session will provide the same information to attendees as the workshop of the same name that is hosted in the School of Nursing four times each year; however, the workshops through ACE are specifically for UNF students. Registration occurs through the Academic Center for Excellence webpage following the directions included here. Registration issues should be addressed directly with ACE and not with the School of Nursing. Non-UNF students should register for the traditional offering of this program via the UNF School of Nursing webpage.

Regular & Accelerated Prelicensure (offered through the School of Nursing for transfer/returning students)
The School of Nursing’s Assistant Director for Admissions will review the Prelicensure and Accelerated Prelicensure BSN application and admission processes, as well as discuss the competitiveness of applying to a limited-access nursing program. School of Nursing faculty will review the nursing curriculum and answer questions regarding expectations of the nursing program and of the nursing profession.
The seminar is offered from 10am to 12pm on the following date(s) in the Brooks College of Health Nursing Annex Bldg. 39A, Room 4136:

Please note that if you register for a session that is full, we will maintain a waiting list for attendance. Registrants will receive a registration confirmation notice via e-mail only. *** Please stop by the information booth located at each campus entrance. The cost to park is $3 for a visitor’s pass. You may park in Garage 38, which is across from the UNF Arena and attached to the Brooks College of Health, though space is extremely limited. Please allow time to obtain a parking pass, to park in an outer lot like 14 or 18, and to take the shuttle to the core of campus, if necessary!
RN-BSN Bridge
This seminar is designed for those individuals who are currently licensed RNs and who are considering a BSN or those who are enrolled in an AS in Nursing program and will be seeking a RN-BSN track.
The session will offer information on:
- Program Application & Admission Processes
- RN-BSN Curriculum—On-campus vs. Distance Learning (online)
- Answers to FAQs
