Service to the Community

In addition to preparation in hospitals and other settings, students and faculty share their time, energy and compassion with those in the community. 

Many serve at Volunteers in Medicine (VIM), a clinic that provides care to workers who do not qualify for Medicaid
or Medicare, and have no health insurance benefits. 

The College also sponsors the Women and Girls Health Initiative whose mission is to motivate, educate and engage individuals in the strengthening and delivery of excellence in women and girls’ healthcare.

As part of their clinical preparation,  Brooks students and faculty can also be found many places across the community doing health screenings, administering shots and providing health education to underserved populations.
