Brooks College of Health Advising
Academic Advising Students seeking admission into the Brooks College of Health must meet the general admission requirements for the University. After completing the first 60 hours of course work at UNF (or transfer students with an A.A. degree), students seeking admission into Health Science are encouraged to make an appointment with the College Academic Advisor within the semester that the 60 credit hours will be completed. The Brooks College of Health provides individualized academic
advisement to all its students. Upon receipt of the acceptance
letter into the College, students are required to call the College
and make an appointment with a Brooks College of Health advisor
for development of an official Program of Study. This planned
program of study becomes the directive for progression in a
sequential and timely manner. During the initial advising conference,
the advisor will help students: Admission Requirements Applicants must meet minimum requirements for admission to undergraduate
programs as established by the State University System and the University
of North Florida. Each minor area of study has specific prerequisites.
It is essential that all core courses in the minor areas of study be taken
before progression to the contextual courses. See the corresponding sections
for further information. All programs presuppose that students have sufficient
academic background to pursue the professional courses provided in the
Brooks College of Health.
