The Young Alumni Club will present a fun, interactive workshop presented by UNF graduate @JasonPratt, where he'll discuss how to e-market yourself for the job market and use social media to "#GetThatJob." This event is free and open to all UNF alumni and students. A $3 parking permit is required to park on campus and can be purchased at Parking Services.
About Jason: Social Media user and educator Jason Pratt has been engaged in internet communications since 2000, graduating from UNF in 2004 with a B.S. in communication. Jason joined Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, working with the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media (#MCCSM) team in early 2011. He uses social media networks to communicate with patients, physicians and other members of the health care community in order to help improve health globally.

For November, the UNF Alumni Book Club will be reading "My Beloved World" by Sonja Sotomayor.
"My Beloved World" is a memoir written by Sonya Sotomayor, the first Hispanic justice on the United States Supreme Court, about her childhood, education and life through 1992.
This meeting of the book club will be Wednesday, Nov. 13. The Alumni Book Club meets the second Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. in the Office of Alumni Services located at Alumni Hall. The Military and Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) will host its annual Veterans Day Tribute at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, in Osprey Plaza. The Veterans Day Tribute will honor all those who have served — students, alumni, donors, faculty and staff.
The program includes a number of static displays of military hardware, a UNF Army ROTC Color Guard unit, VA Welcome Home display and food station and a performance of TAPS by a UNF student bugler. The event will also recognize veterans by service branch and conflict. The guest speaker this year is Rear Adm. Vic Guillory, director of Jacksonville's Military Affairs, Veterans and Disabled Services Department. For more information, click here.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, a cultural resource of the University of North Florida, presents Abstraction over Time: The Paintings of Michael Goldberg. While smaller-scale exhibitions have celebrated Michael Goldberg's canonical abstract expressionist works, no project to date has assessed the significance of his contribution to the continuation of abstraction as a vital art form in post-war America. Osprey Racing competes in Formula SAE Competition: Sophomore Coulter Fordham, an Osprey Racing member, discussed how the campus non-profit organization is building an improved race car to compete in its third Formula SAE Design Competition next year on "UNF On The Record," a weekly radio show featuring campus life, as well as faculty and student research.
