Biography
Tim Rearick is a senior manager with Florida Blue in the Business Ethics, Integrity & Compliance area and leads the HIPAA Privacy Program. He has over 20 years of experience in developing and implementing enterprise projects and programs for public and private health care organizations. He served as the State of Florida’s HIPAA Program Manager and led Florida’s statewide HIPAA coordination and compliance program. Mr. Rearick’s administrative experiences have also included stints with several prominent healthcare organizations, including Av-Med-SantaFe and Shands HealthCare. He originally trained as a Registered Nurse and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and a Project Management Professional (PMP®).
Awards
2012 Blue BEIC Award - Florida Blue’s privacy team was recognized for outstanding achievement for its work supporting Florida Blue’s incident response team (IRT.) The IRT responds to potential information privacy and security incidents involving Florida Blue’s information assets. Through their association with the IRT the privacy team contributed a substantial amount of value to the Company by working to improve services to Florida Blue members and exemplified Florida Blue’s values of excellence and integrity.
