Biography
Dr. Byun graduated with a Ph.D. in Linguistics with a focus on second language acquisition (SLA) in 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign after he had received his first MA in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and his second in linguistics from the same university.
He taught various groups of English Language Learners and Korean language learners including elementary and secondary students and adult language learners.
His research interests include input, interaction, and output in second language acquisition, automaticity from SLA and psycholinguistic perspectives, Classroom English, and the effect of TESOL/TEFL certificate program
