Biography
To address the importance of health within a community setting I began to investigate the social and political impact of historical factors which still are present in today's health policy. Historically eugenics impacted the writing and implementation of the Social Security Act of 1935 with lasting consequences still felt today. To adequately address health disparities and infant mortality through health policy and community action the subtle lasting effects of eugenic influences must be understood.
