Biography
In September of 2012 Cathy was contracted by the Collins and Story, Law Firm to provide mitigation resources for the Middle District Federal Court. She also resumed teaching at the University of North Florida. In June of 2008 Cathy was appointed by Sheriff John Rutherford as the Re-Entry Coordinator for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Originally a native of the State of Ohio, Cathy has lived in Jacksonville for 30 years.
For three years prior to joining the Sheriff's Office , Cathy was full time faculty at her alma mater the University of North Florida in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. In addition to teaching she oversaw the very successful internship program for students majoring in the criminal justice field. While there she was awarded the Disability Friendly Faculty Award (2006)
Before becoming a part of the faculty at the University of North Florida, Cathy was a practitioner in the field of criminal justice. She joined the State Attorney's office in the Fourth Judicial Circuit in 1989. While with that office she developed criminal and, juvenile justice and victim advocacy programs that have been recognized and profiled by :
