Biography

Debi Wagner earned a BSN from Houston Baptist University in Texas, and held various positions in maternal child nursing and nursing education. After completing her Master of Science degree from the University of Utah, she practiced full scope nurse-midwifery care, both in the U. S. Air Force and civilian practices. She earned her PhD from Barry University, and conducted a quantitative research study entitled “Patient Satisfaction with Postpartum Teaching Methods Used by Nurses”  at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, FL. She is a member of the nursing faculty and the RN-BSN Program Director for the School of Nursing.  She remains current in clinical practice, caring for prenatal and postpartum patients at the Mayport Naval Station Obstetrical Clinic. Her research interests are patient satisfaction with nursing care and prenatal and postpartum depression.
