Areas of Expertise
Currently as the Assistant Director for Health Education, Michael Kennedy hires, trains and evaluates Health Promotion and Campus Alcohol & Drug Information (CADIC) staff members. He supervises all office functions and office personnel in the director’s absence. His duties also include working with the University Conduct office to provide assessment, evaluation and counseling interventions for students referred for alcohol and drug related policy violations.
Mr. Kennedy also designs, implements, evaluates and provides client feedback for the following programs: stress management, HIV/AIDS pre-test and post-test counseling, HIV/aids intervention and education, fitness and nutrition evaluations, drug and alcohol education and anger management.
Working collaboratively with the College of Health and other University entities, he provides health assessments and health education programming. He is also a certified HIV/AIDS counselor.
