With the release of Office 2007, Microsoft has introduced new Word, Excel, and PowerPoint file formats. These have an 'X' added to their file extensions (example: .docx, xlsx, pptx). Office 2003 applications, used by UNF faculty and staff, will not open the Office 2007 files formats. Faculty and staff with Office 2003 can have the MS Office Compatibility Pack installed on their office computer by submitting a request at https://help.unf.edu/. After the Compatibility Pack is installed, you will be able to open, edit, and save Office 2007 documents.
