Administration and FinanceTip of the Week - October 29, 2007Safety PoliciesThe university continues to grow with new students, faculty, and staff arriving each semester. A quick review of some university policies will help keep all of us up-to-date and informed as we go about our campus routines. Policies page here The UNF Tobacco Policy restricts tobacco use to outside areas generally located at least twenty five feet away from buildings and heavily traveled walkways. Tobacco users are expected to act responsibly by complying with this policy while both tobacco users as well as non-tobacco users have the collective responsibility to ensure compliance with this policy . A second UNF policy establishes standards for the safe use and operation of golf carts on the university campus. Before operation, each cart driver must receive training either by completing the on-line training module administered by Environmental Health and Safety (EH &S) or through review of the written policy and red zone map listed on the EH&S webpage. Both the on-line module and the written policy contain specific guidelines for the proper inspection, maintenance, and operation of these service vehicles. Let's continue to make our university a place where there is "No one like you" and "No place like this".
