Tip of the Week - April 16, 2007
No need to park on campus during the summer? Be sure to stop your parking payroll deduction.
Nine-month employees who chose the 24x payroll deduction to pay for their parking permit are entitled to stop deductions at the end of the spring semester. This policy also applies to any employee on the 24x plan who, for whatever reason, no longer wishes to park in University garages and lots.
Just return the hang tag or decal to Auxiliary Services, Building 1/Room 1600 or Parking Services, Building 41/Room 1012. Your last 1/24 deduction will be taken from your next pay, and then stopped altogether.
Don't forget, because if you do not return the permit, the entire remaining balance will be deducted from your final pay and there are no refunds available after this deduction occurs. If your last pay is to be received on May 11, 2007, you must return the permit by 4:00 p.m. on May 4, 2007 to avoid the entire remaining balance being deducted.
If you will be parking at UNF during the summer months, you don't need to do anything. Just keep your permit and use it to park as appropriate for the category of permit. 9-month employees will have the entire remaining balance taken from their final pay.
12-month employees on the 24x plan who no longer wish to park on campus can have the payroll deduction stopped by turning in their permit. The last 1/24 deduction will be made with the next pay, and then stopped altogether.
