Administration and FinanceTip of the Week - March 31, 2008Sensitivity to People with Visual ImpairmentsUsing the proper terminology when referring to an individual with a disability helps to promote a positive attitude and reflects social acceptance towards the person. Rather than referring to a person with blindness as a 'blind person,' please use the proper terminology: a 'person with a visual impairment.' We encourage you to respect and value all individuals, especially those with disabilities. Questions may be directed to the ADA Compliance Office at ext. 2870.
