Description:
About eight hundred fifty species of Rhododendron are found mostly in the North
America, Europe, and Asia, with numerous species in New Guinea. Our garden azaleas are
among these many species of Rhododendron.
Pink pinxter azalea is native to the southeastern United States including northeast Florida. Flowers appear
in early spring before the leaves are produced. This azalea is deciduous in
winter.
‘Varnadoe’s Pink Phlox’ was selected for its good, pink
flower color and foliage that stays healthy throughout summer and fall.

This native shrub grows well in a partly shaded, moist
situation.
