Veteran Certification System
The Veteran Certification System is a certification and tracking system for students who are veterans or spouse/dependents of veterans. This system will assist in complying with federal regulation regarding veterans.

Veteran Certification – Veteran Status
The Veteran Status screen displays information for the selected student including birth date, citizenship, gender, privacy indicator, residency status, enrollment dates (matriculation to last enrolled), mailing address, permanent address, and home telephone number. In addition, the student’s curriculum information is also displayed.
The user then enters the Dates of Active Duty (when appropriate), veteran file number, and designation. The veteran type, benefit level, 60-day deferments, and opt-out indicator are effective term based. If there are no changes from term to term, then a new term does not need to be inserted.

Veteran Certification
– Course Certification
The Course Certification screen allows the user to certify
which courses are eligible for payment.
Student information (birth
date, citizenship, gender, privacy indicator, residency status, enrollment
dates (matriculation to last enrolled), mailing address, permanent address, and
home telephone number), curriculum information (degree, level, college, major,
and concentration for the maximum General Student record), Military information
(military/VA status, VA type, benefit level, and 60-day deferment), Courses (On Degree Evaluation, CRN, Course
ID, Campus, Course Title, Hours, Dates, Status, Registration Status Date, Certified),
and Part of Term Certifications (Part
of Term, Credit Hours, Certification Date (if exists), Current Certification
Indicator, Tuition, and Fees) are displayed.
The Courses section will display all courses from Registration. The user will then indicate using the
Certified drop-down box which courses can be certified. After selecting the Update button, the Part
of Term Certifications section will be updated with new tuition and fees calculations.
