Maintain FTIC Housing Requirements

In support of the “First Year Experience” program, this process monitors active FTIC students who are admitted summer 2012 and after and determine the housing and meal plan requirements based on the initial term of admission.

UNF students who begin in the summer term are required to live in campus housing in the summer, fall and spring terms. Students who begin the fall term will need to live in on-campus housing during the fall and spring terms. Students enrolling in the spring term will need to live on campus during that first spring term and during the next term the student is enrolled (summer or fall).

The status for each student and term is recorded in the housing requirement tables (WTSLHRQ and WTSLHRT) and is viewable on the Mandatory Housing page in Administrative Applications.

The process then checks against any approved exemptions in the Housing and Meal Plan Exemption system and applied them to the students’ records. Information from Housing and Chartwells about future contract and plan purchases is also checked and applied to the records. Finally, information from the Housing residence file is checked to mark the requirement as completed for the term. Once all terms have been completed for a student, the student has completed the “First Year Experience” and the student’s overall status is marked as completed.
