The Graduation Certification process requires Advisors, Chairs, and Deans to authorize students for graduation through a Banner Self-Service application developed by UNF.  For each student the user can view the student’s program, degree evaluation program areas and status (Met or Not Met), status of University Requirements, current registration, repeated courses, incomplete courses, hours and GPA.  As part of this review, the user can submit their decision (approve or denied) and provide notes.  In order to preserve this information for further review, the pre-certifications and final certifications are archived to the imaging system. 

Archive Final Certifications (After Degrees Post)

Enrollment Services Records Processing runs the Archive Final Certification process (WSH5525) for the prior term 3 to 4 weeks after degree post. The process sends the final certifications to the imaging system.  Enrollment Services Records Processing staff will verify that the archive was successful by checking the records in the imaging system.  The imaging query is ‘Advising – Graduation Certification’ with a type of ‘Graduation Certification’.

Enrollment Services Records Processing runs the Archive Pre-Certification process (WSH5525) before grades post for current term.  The process sends the pre-certifications to the imaging system.  Enrollment Services Records Processing staff will verify that the archive was successful by checking the records in the imaging system.  The imaging query is ‘Advising – Graduation Certification’ with a type of ‘Graduation Pre-Certification’.

Purge Certification (pre and final) Records (After Pre-Certification Deadline)

Since certifications are archived for historical reference, the original data created during the certification process can be deleted.  Enrollment Services Records Processing runs the Purge Final Certification process (WSH5560) for the prior term after pre-certification deadline for the current term.
