What is Ospreys Email?
The University of North Florida has partnered with Microsoft to provide students with an "E-mail for Life" address (N firstname.lastname@example.org), 10 GB storage for e-mail, 25 GB storage for files, and online Microsoft Office Web Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Note)
Why did we move to Ospreys E-mail instead of keeping the old system?
The old system is just that; old. Moving to a new system will provide students with many features not possible in the old system – such as having a large mailbox storage limit, large file storage space that is easy to access, and the ability to create Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Note files without having to buy the software. Students will get to keep their UNF e-mail address for life. Additionally, we saved the University $150,000 in hardware costs plus licensing costs for servers, anti-spam, and anti-virus solutions.
