Features:

The Information Technology Services Computer labs are for the exclusive use of UNF students, faculty and staff. The following rules will help us ensure that you get the most out of the resources located within these facilities.

  • You must have an active UNF Login ID to access the lab computers.
  • Workstations are not available for reservation, they are provided on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Alteration of the equipment or furniture is prohibited.
  • No food or drink is permitted inside this facility. We have provided a designated area to leave any food or drink you may be carrying.
  • Game playing and use of the lab for business or other non-scholarly activities is prohibited.
  • A child may accompany his/her parent in the lab as long as he/she does not use the computers, occupy a vacant computer station, or disturb other lab patrons.

We employ a group of student lab assistants that are here to assist you when you use the lab. They will assist you with:

  • Locating, opening, and exiting installed software.
  • Printing operations and problems related to printing.
  • Basic questions about software in the lab.
  • They are not responsible for teaching, training or assisting with in depth application issues or homework assignments.

Customer Responsibility:

The general purpose computer laboratories managed by Information Technology Services are for the exclusive use of faculty (including part time faculty), currently admitted or enrolled students, and staff (including OPS employees) of the University of North Florida.

 

Exceptions to accommodate individuals not included in these groups shall be handled on a case by case basis by the Director of Network & User Services, subject to membership fees set annually by the Director in consultation with the University Technology Committee.

 

Use of the labs is restricted to scholarly activities related to student instruction and research and faculty research and service, and to other activities directly related to the mission of the University.

 

Use of the facilities for any other purpose, without review and approval by the Director of Network & User Services, is strictly prohibited.
