Financial Need Based Scholarships for Freshmen
A number of individual donors and companies in the community have generously provided our students with scholarship support through the UNF Foundation. We seek to assist students in achieving their dreams and earning bachelor degrees while developing leadership and growth through community service, study abroad, Transformational Learning Opportunities (TLO), and undergraduate research.
These scholarships require:
- Acceptance to UNF as a freshman (first time in college)
- Completion of the Pathways to Success application packet
- Verification of Florida residency
- Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need. (Financial need is determined by a student’s campus cost of attendance minus the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as calculated from the FAFSA, and other aid received.)
- Full time enrollment with a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester
- Attendance of Freshmen Advising Workshops, donor luncheons/receptions, and other Pathways to Success events
Packet should include:
- Application
- Resumé
- Two letters of recommendation
- Student Aid Report (SAR)
