Freshman Scholarships
Competitive UNF Merit Based Scholarships

Students can apply for one of our competitive merit-based scholarships listed below.  Scholarship applications will be submitted through myWings.  Click here for a step-by-step tutorial.

To apply for these scholarships, students must submit a scholarship application and have a completed admissions application on file by November 16, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Scholarships are only available to first-time-in-college students beginning in the Summer or Fall terms.
  • Students receiving an automatic merit-based scholarship (like the Presidential award) will be considered for these competitive scholarships on an upgrade basis only. Their awards will not be combined for a total higher value. Instead, they will keep the award that provides the highest scholarship amount.
  • Current and transfer students are not eligible to receive these scholarships.
  • Students need to only submit one scholarship application. Each applicant will be automatically considered for every scholarship for which he/she qualifies.
  • Students are only eligible to receive one UNF merit-based scholarship. However, students who have already received an automatic scholarship can submit an application to be considered for a possible scholarship upgrade.
  • Scholarship decisions will be mailed February 1, 2013.

Scholarship application will be posted on September 17, 2012.
