Academic integrity entails absolute honesty in one's intellectual efforts. The UNF Student Handbook details the facets and ramifications of academic integrity violations, but in taking your placement exams you should be especially aware of the policies on cheating and plagiarism. These policies apply to all placement test takers including new incoming first year students, transfer students, re-admitted students, and students currently enrolled in courses at UNF. When taking your placement exams online, actions considered in violation of academic integrity policies on plagiarism and cheating may include:
|
- using the assistance of another person or other resources on your placement exam;
- disregarding any guidelines or instructions indicated in writing in the online test site, or other exam instruction resources;
- the representation of another's work as your own, for example: submitting as one's own work an examination online any part of which has been prepared or answered by someone else.
|
If you are unsure about what constitutes unauthorized help on an exam do not proceed with this test and contact the UNF Office of Orientation by email, newtounf@unf.edu, with any questions. Violations of any of the above guidelines may result in disciplinary actions including expulsion from the University.
