Deadline Changes
Due to the serious budgetary issues facing the State of Florida and the increased demand for admission to the University of North Florida, the University must implement new admission policies in order to maintain instructional quality and not exceed its capacity. Consequently, the application deadline for the Fall 2008 semester for undergraduate transfers and post-baccalaureate students has been advanced by six weeks to Friday, May 2nd. To be considered for Fall 2008 admission, all documents necessary for an admission decision must be received by this date. First-time-in-college student applications will be reviewed on a space available basis.

Additionally, admissions decisions for all undergraduate transfers and post-baccalaureates for the Spring 2009 semester will be deferred until early in the fall semester. At this time, a specific date for announcing spring term admission decisions has not been established. The deadline for applying for Spring 2009 is currently Friday, October 31. The date is subject to change.

We recognize that these changes will impact the UNF campus and the communities we serve. On behalf of the faculty and staff at the University of North Florida, thank you for your understanding of and patience with the actions we have had to take in response to the extraordinary circumstances in which we find ourselves. We are hopeful that the state university system will rebound quickly from the current statewide economic downturn so that UNF can resume admitting all qualified students who seek to pursue their education here.
