UNF has selected A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future by Daniel H Pink for the annual UNF Reads! Program. A Whole New Mind is a book that students should find interesting, engaging and directly applicable to their lives.  The book argues that the changing global economy requires us to think differently about the skills, aptitudes, and intellectual habits needed to thrive in the 21st century.   It offers students and faculty an opportunity to think about how creativity functions in their own disciplines; the book includes a series of hands-on exercises culled from experts around the world to help readers sharpen right brain aptitudes.

Dan Pink hopes his book “will change not only how we see the world but how we experience it as well."  The Miami Herald calls it an “audacious and powerful work: he uses the coming changes as a springboard for exploring the nature of personal fulfillment, success and humanity.”  Newsweek recommends it as “an encouraging [college] graduation gift.” We believe that students will benefit from A Whole New Mind as they begin their college career.
