Inquiry and Insight Lecture Series 2010 - 2011
The Inquiry and Insight Lecture Series promotes dialogue among visiting scholars, community supporters, students, faculty members, and staff. This year’ s speakers represent diverse fields and issues related to psychology, poetry and fiction, philosophy, politics, social anthropology, and history. All of the speakers have made substantive contributions in their respective fields. Over and above their impressive s cholarly achievements, they share two traits. They have been able to make specialized concepts accessible to interdisciplinary audiences. Additionally, they have been able to enkindle their passion for learning in others. As a group, they embody the academic values that have provided the foundation for learning and research at this university.

Scholars Transforming Academic Research Symposium Friday, April 3rd, 2009, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00.m., UNF University Center
The Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the Honors Program, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs are co-sponsoring the Scholars Transforming Academic Research Symposium or S.T.A.R.S. This annual conference gives students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a safe and supportive environment while perhaps preparing to present their findings at professional conferences. The symposium also offers faculty the opportunity to spotlight their successes in mentoring and research.
