Accreditation

Accreditation indicates to current and potential students, as well as alumni, faculty, administrators, state legislators, the interested public, and all University stakeholders, that a given institution's organization and management processes are regularly reviewed in the interests of efficiency and effectiveness. Accreditation also evidences that faculty possess the appropriate qualifications to teach the curricula that they are scheduled to offer. An institution that is explicitly committed to continous improvement, in terms of structure and especially in terms of process, is likely to achieve re-accreditation on a regular basis. The University of North Florida views its efforts to ensure continous improvement and institutional effectiveness as part of a continuum of activities, that contribute to successful re-accreditation, and to the continued development of an institution of which all stakeholders can be proud.

The University of North Florida is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees.
