National Survey of Student Engagement-2006
In spring 2006, the University of North Florida participated in the National Survey of Student Engagement for the first time. We distributed surveys to our freshmen and seniors and recieved responses of 404 and 594 respectively totaling a 23% overall response rate. NSSE provides comparisons in student responses for UNF students and the total NSSE population of 259,987.
In addition to comparisons of results from UNF and NSSE total population, NSSE also provides five benchmarks important for UNF to consider as it moves toward a regional institution of national quality. These five benchmarks include:
- Level of academic challenge
- Active and collaborative learning
- Student-Faculty interaction
- Enriching educational practices
- Supportive campus environment
