SACS Reaffirmation 2009

 

Overview

The University of North Florida is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Individual contact to the Commission on Colleges about the University of North Florida accreditation status should occur only if there is evidence that appears to support significant noncompliance with a requirement or standard. All other inquiries should be directed to Shawn Brayton, who serves as the university SACS liaison.

The institution was initially accredited in 1974 and was last reviewed and reaffirmed in 1999. The reaffirmation review covered the main campus and all extended sites. The institution’s accreditation extends to all programs offered on the institution’s main campus as well as those offered at all extended program sites wherever located. The institution is scheduled to receive its next reaffirmation of accreditation review in 2009.
