The Office of Institutional Effectiveness at the University of North Florida provides leadership and information in support of decision-making about the effectiveness of the University in achieving its mission. The Office leads assessment activities to monitor, assure, and enhance student learning; monitors the quality of academic programs and administrative and student support services; designs and implements through its Office of Institutional Research institutional inquiries, both recurring and episodic; aligns activities that support accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and other accreditating agencies; and maintains an archive of institutional reports. The office is located in the division of Academic Affairs and is led by the Associate Provost, who reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.


Mission

The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) is to support planning, decision-making, and assurance of student learning at University of North Florida by providing information that is timely and of the highest quality. The scope of the unit's responsibility is campus-wide. The unit provides official reporting to external agencies, such as the Florida Board of Governors, the entire University community including the Board of Trustees, and other units, both internal and external. In doing this, the IE Office collects, analyzes, and interprets data to provide information that is appropriate for use in planning and decision-making; organizes and maintains institutional data, and serves as a catalyst for institutional self-analysis and improvement.
