Since 2006, every new building on UNF’s campus has been constructed to meet the standards of the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED),
demonstrating the University’s commitment to its surroundings. The campus is nestled among more than 1,381 acres of trees, trails and lakes.
The new Brooks College of Health addition opened in 2008, giving the college 33,000 more square feet of space, addressing the needs of the nursing program and providing a new home for Student Medical Services.
The College of Education and Human Services moves into a new $27 million, 95,000-square-foot building in 2009.
The $86 million Osprey Fountains residence hall opens in 2009, providing a home for up to 1,000 students to live on campus in a complex that includes a swimming pool and fitness center.
The $50 million Student Union will be the hub of student activities when it opens in 2009.
