The theme of the 8th Annual Professional Development Forum is “Transforming Our Culture.” The event is an opportunity for faculty and staff to reconnect with colleagues, grow professionally, learn about issues affecting UNF and have fun. The keynote speaker is Teri Yanovitch, author and lecturer, whose expertise is in excellent service and quality management. Teri has authored several books, including Unleashing Excellence and Retain or Retrain. Dr. Rick Kirschner, author of Dealing with People you Can’t Stand will facilitate a breakout session entitled “HOW TO CLICK WITH PEOPLE: The Secret to Better Relationships.” Other breakout sessions include: “Managing for Employee Engagement,” “Conversations for Collaboration” and “SWOOP! Strategies for Wellness, Optimistic Outlook and Peace.” Learn what is happening in different divisions and what challenges UNF faces through an active panel discussion with Vice Presidents Shuman, Serwatka and Owen. UNF’s Excellence Awards recipients will be recognized during the luncheon ceremony. The entire day is FREE and open to all faculty and staff, including OPS. As in the past, you may attend the full day or a half day with supervisor approval.
