Entrance Exam Requirements

The School of Nursing has specific entrance exam requirements for each undergraduate and graduate program. 

 

Undergraduate Programs  (RN-BSN excluded)

Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)

This exam is required of all applicants to the Regular Prelicensure and Accelerated Prelicensure tracks of the BSN program at the University of North Florida. The TEAS was developed by Assessment Technologyies Institute (ATI.)

Graduate Programs

Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

The School of Nursing requires GRE scores from within the last five (5) years, including the essay portion.  Official scores must be submitted to the Graduate School from ETS; archives are only maintained by ETS for five (5) years. Unofficial scores and scores reported on transcripts from other institutions are not accepted.  See the individual program FAQs and admission requirements for additional details. This exam is required for the Nurse Anesthetist program and is one (1) of two (2) options for the other MSN tracks, as well as the DNP. GRE scores are not required for the FNP Certificate track. Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

Applicants to the DNP program and all MSN tracks with the exception of Nurse Anesthetist may opt to submit MAT scores in place of GRE scores. Official scores must be submitted to the Graduate School from Pearson; archives are only maintained by Pearson for five (5) years.
