Board of Advisors                  Pre-Law Advisory Board in a Meeting

The Pre-Law Program has an active Advisory Board which meets during the fall and spring semester. They main goal is to serve as mentors to Pre-Law students.  Members make themselves to answer questions about seeking admission into law school, the practice of law and other law-related subjects.

The Board regularly invites involved students and Jacksonville's civic leaders to  "working luncheon." These highly successful and visible luncheons have in the past featured local guest speakers from the judicial and legal community.

The Board includes Circuit Court Judge Greg McCaulie, County Court Judges Dawn Hudson, Eleni Derke and Brent Shore. Local lawyers serving on the board include Michael Bateh, Tom Brown, Jason Burnett, Chris Cobb, Roger Gannam, Cindy Lasky, Lisa Bates-Lester, Rutledge Liles, Jim Porter, and Melissa Williamson-Nelson. Board members also include various UNF faculty members, representing different departments within the College of Arts and Sciences. Barbara Hetrick, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Assistant Dean, David Fenner, also regularly attend board meetings.
