2017-2018 School of Music Concert Calendar

The majority of School of Music concerts are free. Registration for free events is encouraged for attendance tracking and marketing purposes. However, printing the e-ticket is not required. Proceeds from sales of ticketed events go to promote talented music students via scholarships. For ticketed event information, contact the Ticket Box Office at (904) 620-2878. 

 

Those attending music events may park at no charge on the 2nd – 4th floors of the Fine Arts Center Garage and Lot 1 (lot surrounding the Fine Arts Center Garage). Outside of this designated section, parking permits which cost $5 are required and enforcement is administered. Permits may be purchased from the Parking Information booths, located at the I-295 or Kernan Boulevard campus entrance. If you have any questions, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at (904) 620-2815.

Brian is the former director of classical guitar studies at Emory University and former faculty member of Agnes Scott College, both in Atlanta, Georgia.  In 2014, Brian joined the faculty of Georgia Southern University.  Brian earned his Bachelor s degree from the University of Louisville s School of Music.  He then received a full scholarship to pursue a Master s degree at the University of Cincinnati s College-Conservatory of Music. Brian earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.  He has recorded for Clear Note Publications and his solo CD, Serenades of the Unicorn was released in January 2009.

Classical guitarist Brian Luckett has performed in solo and chamber music recitals throughout the United States. Past performances have paired him with guitarist Eliot Fisk, flutist Nicole Chamberlain, I Cantori vocal ensemble, the Georgia Southern University Symphony and baritone Allen Henderson. Brian has been featured in many programs on Minnesota Public Radio, as well as NPR affiliate stations, including WABE in Atlanta.
