Coggin Short-Term Study Abroad

Coggin Study Abroad will accept applications for 2013/14 short-term study abroad programs from September 2 to November 1, or until a course is full - whichever comes first. Once you submit your completed applications, the cost of the study abroad program (excluding the cost of tuition) will be posted to your account on myWings. It is your responsibility to make payments by the posted deadlines below.


Application  Deadline: November 1
First Payment   Deadline: November 1 - $500
Second Payment Deadline: February 1 - Remaining balance of program fee

Coggin Semester Abroad Applications

Spring Semester Application Deadline: October 1
Note: Applications for Bad-Mergentheim German Language & Culture  program, Sun Yat-sen University, and AUT are due Sept. 15. 

Note: Applications for ESSEC-France are due September 1.

Fall Semester Application Deadline: April 1

Note: Applications for Sun Yat-sen University and AUT are due March 15.

Note: Applications for ESSEC-France are due March 1.

Coggin Semester Abroad Requirements

Undergraduate Students 

Students applying to spend a fall or spring semester abroad must have a minimum 2.70 GPA at UNF (Note: Some programs have higher GPA requirements or require an additional application. See individual program web sites.)  Students may study abroad for up to two semesters, and it is highly recommended that students complete the following courses prior to departure:

    • ACG2071 Prin Managerial Accounting
    • CGS1100 Computer Applications for Business
    • ECO2013 Principles of Macroeconomics
    • ECO2023 Principles of Microeconomics
    • MAC2233 (GM)Calculus for Business
    • STA2023 (GM) Elem Statistics-Business
  • Coggin Core Requirements
    • MAN 3025 Administrative Management
    • MAR 3023 Principles of Marketing


Note: Some courses taught abroad may have additional prerequisites.


Transfer Students 

Based on when you transfer to UNF, you may not yet have a UNF GPA. If you have a 3.0 transfer GPA and have completed ECO 2023 & ECO 2013 (or equivalent) with a “C” or higher prior to transferring, we will accept your application for a semester abroad pending that you enroll in and complete MAN 3025 & MAR 3023 with a “C” or higher at UNF prior to departure.


Graduate Students  

Students applying to spend a fall or spring semester abroad must have a minimum 3.0 GPA at UNF.  Students may study abroad for one semester, and it is recommended that students have completed all foundation courses prior to departure.
