Summary:

This course will offer an overview and comparison of contemporary Czech and Austrian society. The focus will be on the business practices in both countries, with a particular emphasis on comparative management practices. Austria and the Czech Republic are considered the pearls of Central Europe and provide a unique opportunity to study the impact of communism v. capitalism on culture and business practices. Students will visit a number of business organizations and governmental institutions in and around Prague and Vienna, to learn about general management practices. Additionally, students will visit a number of exciting cultural attractions in both countries.
