Summary: This course is focused on the wine industry in Central Spain and provides a hands-on application of economic principles to the global wine market.  The class will  visit with university faculty and wine producers to learn about factors affecting the supply and demand for wine, including items such as the wine production process, recent production innovations, and the importance of the environment on viticulture.  Students will engage with wine experts in a variety of settings including academic and business facilities, vineyards, wineries, and wine production plants.
Prerequisites:
  • ECO 2023: Principles of Microeconomics or 
  • ECO 2013: Principles of Macroeconomics or 
  • ECO 3701: Contemporary International Economic Issues or 
  • Permission of instructor

$3,100 (plus the cost of 3 hours UNF Spring 2012 tuition)

  • 1st Payment: $500 due by November 1, 2011
  • 2nd Payment: $2,600 due by February 1, 2012
