Douglas Peacock

Douglas Peacock was the founder and first chief executive officer of Transdigm Inc. He led the company during the early formative years as both CEO and chairman of the board of directors. Today, he serves as a director of Transdigm and is the chairman of the governance committee and member of the audit committee. He has also served as the chairman of the board of Aviation Technology Group and a director of Microporus Inc.

Prior to Transdigm, Mr. Peacock was with IMO Industries as executive vice president of Instruments and Aero Components Group, and Power Systems Group. Before IMO he held various managerial positions in elevator, power transformer and nuclear businesses with Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Mr. Peacock received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Illinois. He is a rated Airline Transport Pilot and is qualified to command various jet aircraft.
