Student Learning Outcomes
Oral and Written Communication
Communicate effectively, conduct oral presentations, write succinctly and generate professional reports.
- Measure: Employers of the CM student Interns evaluate the job performance of the students per their oral and written communication skills on a scale of 0 to 10 (10 being the highest).
- Desired Result: Employers will rate UNF CM students as having effective oral and written communication skills. 80% of the Students will have a grade equal to or above a 7 out of 10.
- Measure: Graduating seniors are asked to rate their learning with respect to oral and written communication skills in a graduating senior survey.
- Desired Result: Student will evaluate the program and their learning positively.
- Measure: Student presentation skills and paper writing are measured by instructor and industry guests grades on a scale from A to F and recorded in oral and written communication rubrics.
- Desired Result: Student will successfully pass the oral and/or written presentations of the class according to the rubrics with a grade of C or better.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
Understand and solve construction problems. Demonstrate the ability to think and reason logically to make sound economic decisions.
- Measure: Employers of the CM student Interns evaluate the job performance of the students per problem solving and critical thinking skills on a scale of 0 to 10 (10 being the highest).
- Desired Result: Employers will rate UNF CM students as having effective problem solving and critical thinking skills. 80% of the Students will have a grade equal to or above a 7 out of 10.
- Measure: Graduating seniors are asked to rate their learning with respect to problem solving skills in a graduating senior survey.
- Desired Result: Student will evaluate the program and their learning positively.
- Measure: BCM students are strongly encouraged to take the Florida General Contractors Exam.
- Desired Result: 70% of students taking the Contractors Exam will successfully pass the test.
- Measure: BCM students are strongly encouraged to take the American Institute of Constructors (AIC) Constructor Qualification Examination (CPC) Exam.
- Desired Result: 70% of student taking the AIC exalm will receive a score of 210 (passing score) or above.

Know and uphold ethical standards of the field.
- Measure: Employers of the CM student Interns evaluate the job performance of the students per their knowledge and application of ethical standards on a scale of 0 to 10 (10 being highest).
- Desired Result: Employers will rate UNF CM students as having ethical standards related to the construction industry. 100% of the students will have a grade equal to or above a 9 out of 10.
- Measure: Graduating seniors are asked to rate their learning with respect to ethical standards in a graduating senior survey.
- Desired Result: Student rate the program and their learning of ethical standards as high.

Be prepared for successful entry into the construction industry.
- Measure: Employers of the CM student Interns evaluate the students' readiness to enter the construction industry on a scale of 0 to 10 (10 being the highest).
- Desired Result: Employers will rate UNF CM students as being ready to enter the construction industry. 80% of the Students will have a grade equal to or above a 7 out of 10.
- Measure: Graduating seniors are asked to rate their readiness to enter the construction industry in a graduating senior survey.
- Desired Result: Student will evaluate their readiness to enter the construction industry positively.
- Measure: BCM students are strongly encouraged to take the Florida General Contractor's exam.
- Desired Result: 70% of students taking the Contractors Exam will successfully pass the test.
