As part of the continuous assessment and improvement program, the Educational Outcomes are periodically assessed by different communities such as employers and alumni. For example, the Employers of the CM student Interns evaluate the job performance of the students per the Educational Outcomes.
In addition to self assessment instruments, CM students are encouraged to take one of various professional exams such as the Florida General Contractor's exam and the American Institute of Constructors (AIC) Constructor Qualification Examination (CPC) exam.
The permanent CM faculty, Drs. Malek, Dryden, Woodson, Jiang, Soares, Lambert and Mr. Sorce went through the ACCE Visitor Team Accreditation process in 2011 and have a basis of understanding of the requirements to have a premiere construction academic program.
In 2014 the faculty also completed a visit from the ABET accrediting body. The department is currently seeking a full accreditation approval through ABET. A formal response is expected in 2015.
A multiplicity of formal and informal methods and techniques are employed to generate feedback and recommendations on the UNF CM academic program. The methods and techniques used in the CM Academic Quality Assessment are shown listed below.
