Dr. John Nuszkowski joins UNF
as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He completed his B.S.
in mechanical engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)
and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at West Virginia
University (WVU). Prior to joining UNF, Dr. Nuszkowski was a Research
Assistant Professor at the Center for Alternative Fuels, Engines and
Emissions (CAFEE) at WVU. His research includes vehicle powertrain
optimization, in-use vehicle emissions, advanced combustion, alternative
fuels, and large bore diesel emissions reduction. Dr. Nuszkowski has
authored eleven conference proceedings, nine conference posters, and seven
journal articles related to engine and emissions research. As an educator,
he has a keen interest in applying open ended problems to facilitate
students capacity to solve real-world engineering problems.
