 | Welcome to Dr. Don Resio Dr. Don Resio joins the UNF faculty as Director of the the Taylor Engineering Research Institute (TERI) and Professor of Ocean Engineering. Dr. Resio has served in a number of important roles, including the Senior Technologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Coastal and Hydraulics Lab and the U.S. delegate to the United Nations Joint World Meteorological Organization’s Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology. In his new role at UNF, Dr. Resio expects to continue his research activities, develop the curriculum for a degree program in Coastal and Estuarine Engineering, and build a world-class team of faculty to develop innovative solutions for those of us living in coastal and estuarine areas. He comes to us from the University of South Dakota, where he served as the Chair of the Department of Computer Science. Dr. Asaithambi's teaching portfolio includes mathematically intensive computing courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, and his research interests are in computational science, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.
