Experts say swimming lessons OK for toddlers
The American Academy of Pediatricians no longer recommends against swimming lessons for kids ages 1 to 3 years. Heather Kite, assistant director of Recreation for Aquatics at UNF, talks to Action News about the importance of exposing kids to the pool at a young age.
Aquatic exercise worth considering

Exercising in the water is a fun, safe way to achieve or maintain fitness. In an emergency, even seconds count. Several staff members at the Aquatic Center responded quickly when 4-year-old Charlie Ashton was injured at the pool during UNF’s Youth Sports & Fitness Camp in June.
